about

It might be a start if we said that "Core of Nothingness" was a sort of breakcore experiment gone wrong, or high-speed sound collage and cut up noise seemingly being created on the fly as a performative manic episode.

Although it is easy to make allusions to mental asylums, absurdity, and various "hardcore" subgenres, if taken as a whole, Botched Facelift's end result on this tape, originally released by Pennsylvanian Hypnocenter in 2014, is at least a little bit shamanic in nature.

An excerpt from "Core of Nothingness" was originally featured on NO PART OF IT's "HETEROPTIKS" compilation (bonus track), but here it is available to be digested as a whole, for subscribers only, thanks to the artist.

Botched Facelift is a project of Dario Puga, who now focuses on BLOOD OF CHHINNAMASTIKA and his label Aberrant Recordings.
