We get a lot of "demos" from "singer/songwriters" who don't have a clue, but this is one singer/songwriter who would get first class treatment here if he were still around. If anyone related to Taki wants me to take this down from being available to subscribers only, feel free to get in touch.

In short, this is taken from a CDR given to me by a bartender at Simon's Tavern in Chicago several years ago now, not long after the passing of Taki Pantos. Apparently, it is from a real CD that still has no presence on the internet that I know of. Taki played once a month at Simon's Tavern, he'd get one day out from the nursing home. Rumor is, this was recorded at a proper studio with a backing band, but Taki kicked out everyone in the studio and played all of the instruments himself. I was going to write about it, and did interview the owner of Simon's Tavern, among others, for Roctober Magazine, but it turned out that I couldn't get much more info than had already been published in The Chicago Reader in the 90s. In short: One of the best performers I've ever seen.
